Students from the School of Management at Pimpri Chinchwad University, representing the dynamic Young Inspirators Network (YIN) Club, recently participated in the prestigious book launch ceremony of The Executive Trap.

The book was launched at the hands of Dr. Santosh Bhave, Ex-Director HR & IR, Bharat Forge Ltd. Pune, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Uday Jadhav, CEO of Sakal Media Group, and the author, Dr. Vinod Bidwaik.

Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) successfully conducted an insightful session under its Industry Leader Lecture Series – “PCU’s Inspira”. The event was organized by the Industry Institute Interaction Cell and the School of Management.

The distinguished speaker, Mr. Gaurav Krishna Parab, Engineering Manager at Philips India, shared his expertise on the complexities of the global trade war and highlighted the crucial role of negotiation skills in today’s business environment. His practical insights and industry experiences offered students a deeper understanding of international trade dynamics and effective strategies for professional success.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, who engaged in an interactive discussion with the speaker. The lecture emphasized how negotiation, adaptability, and strategic thinking are essential skills for future leaders.

The program was graced by Dr. Govind Kulkarni (Vice Chancellor, PCU), Dr. Sudeeep Thepade (Pro Vice Chancellor, PCU), along with coordinators Mr. Rahul Udata and Mr. Gaurav Acharya, who expressed gratitude to the speaker for his valuable contribution.

The School of Management (SOM) at Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) successfully organized the YIN Appointment Ceremony, marking an important step in promoting student leadership and engagement.

In the ceremony, Ms. Pooja Yadav was appointed as the President of SOM PCU, while Mr. Digvijay took charge as the Vice President. The event celebrated the spirit of youth empowerment and provided a platform for students to take on leadership roles within the university community.

The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Amit Patil, Dean, School of Management. The ceremony concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Saylee Karande, YIN Coordinator, SOM PCU.

The MBA International and BAAI students of the School of Management, Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) successfully completed an enriching Industrial Visit to Paul John Distillery.

The visit offered students valuable insights into the distillery’s operations, production processes, quality standards, and global business practices. It enhanced their practical understanding of the beverage industry and its international market dynamics, bridging classroom learning with real-world exposure.

School of Management hosted an interactive session with Ms. Yujin Han, India Business Expert in Strategy Consulting and Business Development. During her interaction with the MBA students, Ms. Han highlighted the range of upcoming short-term programs being developed under the collaboration between Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) and the Korea Facilitation Centre.

She emphasized that these programs are specially designed to meet the expectations of Korean companies operating in India, focusing on enhancing students’ language proficiency, cross-cultural understanding, and industry-relevant knowledge.

This initiative aims to strengthen career opportunities for students while contributing to deeper academic–industry–international linkages.

The School of Management, Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) organized a lively Freshers’ Party for its First Year MBA students at Sunny World. The event was filled with music, dance, and fun activities, creating a cheerful atmosphere.

The celebration helped newcomers bond with seniors and faculty, marking the start of their MBA journey with joy and enthusiasm.

The School of Management organized a highly insightful Guest Session for the second-year MBA students on Strategic Import of Market Research & Career Vistas in view of their upcoming placements.

The session was conducted by Mr. Akshay Patil, Founder & Managing Director, Introspective Market Research. Mr. Patil shared valuable insights into the dynamic role of market research in shaping business strategies, while also highlighting the wide range of career opportunities in the field.

Students gained an in-depth understanding of how analytical tools, research methodologies, and industry knowledge can enhance decision-making and add value in the corporate world. The session also encouraged students to align their skills with emerging industry expectations and prepare effectively for their placement journey.

The MBA International students of the School of Management, Pimpri Chinchwad Universityrecently visited Polaris International, Dubai, as part of their international study tour. The visit offered valuable insights into global business practices, innovative management strategies, and corporate culture, while also connecting classroom learning with real-world applications.

Students also had the opportunity to participate in the Global Entrepreneurs Conclave (GEC) 2025, where they engaged with global entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and innovators, gaining exposure to emerging trends and entrepreneurial insights.

These experiences enriched their learning, broadened their global perspective, and enhanced their preparedness for future managerial and entrepreneurial roles.

As part of the Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony 2025, Ms. Uma Dabir, an accomplished Corporate Trainer, conducted a highly interactive session on “Developing Communication Skills for Business.” Emphasizing the pivotal role of clear, confident, and purposeful communication in professional success, she guided students through practical techniques for enhancing verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. Through engaging activities and real-world scenarios, Ms. Dabir empowered participants to communicate effectively in diverse business settings, fostering collaboration, leadership, and impact.

The first-year MBA and BBA students of School of Management, PCU participated in an Outdoor Management Training (OMT) Program at Sneh Resort. The program was designed to foster team building and communication skills through a series of engaging outdoor activities.

Students took part in interactive challenges and collaborative games that encouraged trust, strategic thinking, and coordination. The scenic and refreshing environment of Sneh Resort provided the perfect backdrop for learning outside the classroom, allowing students to bond, break barriers, and enhance interpersonal connections.

The OMT experience strengthened teamwork that are essential for future business leaders.

In another impactful session,Mr. Bhupendra Singh Chaudhry, Managing Director of Trifactorial Consulting, engaged students on “Product Management Applications in Business.” He explained the strategic role of product management in driving business growth, from ideation and design to launch and lifecycle management. Through practical frameworks and real-world examples, Mr. Chaudhry equipped students with tools to approach product development with a customer-focused and results-driven mindset.

The Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony 2025 featured an insightful address by Mr. Arvind Bhagwat, Pharma Industry Expert and former Associate Director at Abbott Healthcare, on the topic “India Growth Story.” Drawing on his extensive industry experience, Mr. Bhagwat highlighted India’s remarkable economic trajectory, opportunities in emerging sectors, and the nation’s potential as a global leader. His talk inspired students to view India not just as a market, but as a hub for innovation, talent, and transformative business opportunities.

The fifth day of the Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony 2025 at Pimpri Chinchwad University’s School of Management offered MBA students a unique blend of self-discovery and experiential learning.

Dr. Dipti Vashisth Sharma and Dr. Saylee Karande led an engaging Enneagram Personality Test session, guiding students through the nine Enneagram types to help them better understand their core motivations, strengths, and areas for growth. Interactive discussions and reflective exercises fostered greater self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skills—essential qualities for aspiring business leaders.

The day concluded with the screening of the business management film The Founder, offering students valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, strategic decision-making, and the complexities of building a business empire.

This combination of personal growth activities and practical business insights made Day 5 an inspiring and impactful part of the induction journey.

Concluding Day 4, Dr. Swapnali Shinde presented an informative session on “Career Prospects of Pharma MBA.” She outlined the diverse roles available in the pharmaceutical industry for management graduates, from marketing and supply chain to regulatory affairs and business strategy. Her talk inspired students from both pharma and non-pharma backgrounds to consider this sector as a promising and impactful career path.

School of Management organized an engaging series of management games for BBA and MBA students, offering them a dynamic platform to apply classroom concepts in real-world scenarios.

Through interactive activities and challenges, students honed their problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities. The sessions also provided valuable exposure to management decision-making and strategic planning, enabling participants to experience the complexities of business leadership firsthand.

The event not only strengthened core management skills but also reinforced the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and practical learning in shaping future industry-ready professionals.

Mr. Ajay Somdhane, Key Account Manager at Swiggy, offered a deep dive into the dynamic world of E-Commerce. Sharing industry insights, operational strategies, and evolving consumer trends, he provided students with a realistic picture of how online businesses operate and grow. His session motivated future managers to explore opportunities in the rapidly expanding digital marketplace.

Finance took center stage on Day 4 as Mr. Vinod Shete, CFO at CKS Pvt. Ltd., delivered a highly practical session on the “ABC of Finance.” Breaking down complex financial concepts into simple, relatable terms, Mr. Shete equipped students with foundational knowledge essential for every aspiring manager. His talk reinforced the significance of financial literacy in making informed business decisions and managing resources effectively.

Mr. Gajendra Singh,Senior Consultant & Manager at IBM, captivated the audience with his talk on “Applications of Emerging Technologies in Business.” He explored how innovations like AI, blockchain, and IoT are revolutionizing industries, streamlining operations, and unlocking new growth opportunities. Through real-world examples, he inspired students to embrace technology as a driver of efficiency, creativity, and competitive advantage in the modern marketplace.

Day 3 of Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony 2025 started with an enlightening session by Mr. Sunijoy Gupta, Business & Corporate Coach, on “Japanese Mindset & International Cultures.” Mr. Gupta shared valuable insights into the discipline, precision, and perseverance that define Japanese work ethics, while also emphasizing the importance of cultural intelligence in today’s globalized business world. His engaging examples encouraged students to adopt a globally adaptable mindset, preparing them for success in diverse professional environments.

The second day of Pimpri Chinchwad University’s Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony 2025 witnessed an energetic and insightful session by Ms. Nupur Singh, Corporate Trainer, on the theme “Think Big, Stay Strong.”

Through a perfect blend of practical insights, interactive activities, and engaging games, Ms. Singh captivated the audience while delivering powerful life lessons in a fun and memorable manner. Her dynamic approach encouraged students to reflect, participate actively, and embrace the mindset of thinking big and staying strong.

The day was also honored by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Dubey, Director of the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, Jodhpur, as the distinguished guest.

The session left students not only motivated but also confident to apply these lessons in their academic journey and personal growth. It was an inspiring continuation of the induction program, reinforcing PCU’s commitment to holistic learning and empowerment.

Pimpri Chinchwad University’s School of Management celebrated the beginning of the academic journey for its new students with the Deeksharambh Induction Ceremony 2025-26 on Friday, 1st August 2025.

The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Mankoskar Surendrakumar, Principal Commissioner, Central Taxes, Vadodara, along withGuests of Honour Dr. Amarendra Sahoo, Former Regional Director, RBI, and Shri Vijayrao Patil, Ex. Associate VP, Smartechm Technology. Their inspiring addresses, filled with valuable insights and real- world perspectives, set a motivating tone for the year ahead.

Under the guidance of Dean Dr. Amit Patil, the program was designed to bridge academic learning with real-world relevance, ensuring that students embark on their journey with clarity of purpose and industry readiness.

With enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, parents, and students, Deeksharambh 2025–26 marked the beginning of a transformative academic journey at PCU, setting the tone for a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement.

The series brought together distinguished industry leaders, corporate trainers, and domain experts to share insights, experiences, and success strategies. Eminent speakers included Nupur Singh (Corporate Trainer), Mr. Akshay Patil (IMR), Mr. Sagar Bhor (Clinihunt), Mr. Arvind Bhagwat (Pharma Industry Expert), Mr. Kiran Alhat (Reliance Industries Ltd), Harshwardhan Pawar (EC Info Solutions), Dr. Amit Tripathi (Cytolife), Mr. Vinod Shete (CKS Pvt.
